Film Photography
Analog photoshoots are available too!
You can choose between the classic 35mm and medium format.
35mm photos are taken with a modern rangefinder film camera by Voigtländer: the Bessa R3M. Despite being relatively small (at least compared to medium format), 35mm negatives still contain a lot of details and can be easily scanned to desktop resolution. 35mm film rolls allow to expose between 36 and 38 photos and come in even more stocks than medium format.
Medium format photos are taken with a Zenza Bronica ETRSi, a professional medium format camera from the late 90's. It shoots on 120 film in 645 format (4:3 aspect ratio), taking 15 frames per film roll. Because of the size of the negatives (almost three times of those on 35mm film), the quality of the image is extremely high, and fine-grain films like Kodak's Portra often contain more details than most modern consumer digital cameras, sometimes even exceeding the resolution of the scanners used to digitize them!
Below is a non-exhaustive list of common film stocks I have experience with. If you don't have experience with film or are unsure, you can contact me and I will be happy to help you choose :)
Film Stocks
- Kodak Gold 200
- Kodak Portra 160, 400, 800
- Kodak Ektar 100
- CineStill 800T
- Rollei Infrared 400 (B/W or infrared)
- Ilford SFX 200 (B/W or infrared)
You can, of course, request other stocks than those in the list above — provided they are available for purchase and don't require extra gear or uncommon development chemicals — or even bring your own, in which case you will receive a discount!
All negatives can be sent via mail to you, and if you prefer you can also scan them yourself and get a discount. Color reversal (positive) films like Kodak's Ektachrome 100 look especially good in person and, with the proper care and lighting, they can even be hung on the wall.
Film photography requests must be made at least one week in advance, and you have to decide which film stock(s) and how many rolls of film you want to use.
In case of failed or damaged frames (overexposure, development accidents, etc.) you will get a discount based on the number of unusable frames.
Infrared Photography
Both digital and film photoshoots are available in infrared at no extra cost!
You can get photos in a variety of styles and filters that determine which part of the electromagnetic spectrum is used. Plants glow blindingly bright, the skin looks almost pearl-like, and fabrics become bright red while the sky and sea are black as coal.
Film photography in infrared requires special considerations: it is only available in black & white, it requires good weather and sunlight, and exposure times are in the order of 1-3 seconds, making it suitable for portrait photography but almost unusable for action shots.
Note: infrared photography is not reversible, once a photo is taken it cannot be reverted to normal colors.

Editing and digital delivery of the photos are included in every shoot. In the case of film, development and scanning are also included.
